Cancerbane is a mythical beast in Greek legends. It is often depicted as a multi-headed canine guarding the gates of the underworld. In some myths, Cancerbero owns three heads, while in others it can have a maximum of nine separate heads. The word "cancerbero" is additionally used to refer to a ferocious and unrelenting sentinel.
